The Quest For An Island Paradise

Every time I travel and people ask me where I live I get the same reaction, “Oh you’re so lucky! ”

What is it about living on an island that makes people so envious?  Is it the imagined, like a picture postcard, a mirage or perhaps the exotic dream with assumptions of enticingly beautiful women or tanned godlike men. Maybe the ideal of freedom and relaxation on white sandy beaches, drink in hand or just simply getting away from the rat race. Whatever your reason for paradise, Bali entices many.

Whether you have experienced that paradise or just imagined it like in the movies, Bali does offer a stunning backdrop for a wonderful holiday or a more permanent arrangement through retirement, starting a business or if lucky employment.

Living in Bali brings both challenges and pleasures and is no different to living anywhere else in the world.

The beauty of Bali can be found in its people, its spiritual heart and the cultural experiences you engage in. It is found in the changing colours of the rice field; the stunning mountain backdrops; the sunsets; the freshly grown food and fantastic array of international and local cuisine choices; the locally made handicrafts; massages that will leave you refreshed; the elegant, traditional dance performances and much, much more.

Bali is a ‘happenings’ place where on a daily basis you can enjoy live music; attend a charity event; taste the amazing food of a well known internationally acclaimed chef; attend an art exhibition or festival and in general, relax and enjoy life.

The Bali Tourist Card has tried to capture the soul of Bali through its savings card. It offers its Members a wide range of discounts at a large number of venues across the island. Through its website www.balitouristcard.com Bali is portrayed visually through stunning imagery.
